Simeon Powell unleashes fury with a second-round finish

Known as “King”, Karl Albrektsson is known for his aggressive style and heavy attacks, especially on the ground. A jiu-jitsu brown belt with 10 finishes to his credit, Albrektsson holds notable wins over 2024 PFL Light Heavyweight World Champion Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov and former Bellator Light Heavyweight World Champion Vadim Nemkov. He most recently fought in November, losing to Chuck Campbell.

Simeon Powell has described his fighting style as smooth but explosive, as evident by the seven finishes in his 10 victories thus far in the sport. Simeon Powell competed in the 2023 PFL Europe Season and made it to the Championship, where he lost to Jakob Nedoh. Powell then competed in Bellator Champions Series London last September, where he defeated Rafael Xavier.

Round 1

Albrektsson tries to pressure once again to start. Powell misses with a left, and Albrektsson clinches up, once again bringing the action to the edge of the SmartCage. Powell tries to drag Albrektsson down. Albrektsson goes to his knees but is quickly back up. Powell is now pressing him into the fence. A separation. Albrektsson with a left hand.
